IT’S YOUR NHS: BE PART OF IT!
The NHS is undergoing unprecedented change. But what does it all mean for patients in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly?
We held public events across the county and islands this summer which were an opportunity to meet the GPs leading the reforms locally and hear first-hand about their vision for improving patient care. Crucially, it is also an opportunity to learn more about how the CCG will work with local people in improving NHS services.
The events also provided an opportunity to hear more about the two new Health and Wellbeing Boards established to serve both Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly to ensure better co-ordination of services across agencies, the Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy and the role of the patient and stakeholder champion HealthWatch.
There was also a 'virtual' event so that people with internet access who can't attend at one of the venues can still take part.
